As of MC 1.3, you now have to farm cows to get leather to make books which turn makes bookshelves for your enchanting rooms. So I realized that the Bats were pretty useless, So I decided that lore-wise its not too far of a stretch to allow Bats to drop leather when their killed. Thus this mod was born. They also have a chance to drop a melon seed when killed, so be on the lookout!

Minecraft BatsDropLeather Mod

When you kill a bat it 1 piece of leather during the daytime. If you kill a bat during the night it’s yield may improve since bats are nocturnal creatures. Sometimes they may even drop melon seeds at night! Bats will also give you XP when you kill them now.

How to install BatsDropLeather Mod for Minecraft 1.6.2:

Download MorphCore Mod (REQUIRED TO USE ANY OF MY MODS) from the link above, you will get a zip file.
You MUST have FORGE installed first.
Drop the .zip into your ‘mods’ folder found at “.minecraft/”
THEN Download any of my other mods you wish to use and also place them into the ‘mods’ folder.
Load Minecraft and enjoy.
