CrazyOres is a mod that will add 9 unique ores to Minecraft. The ores are Copper, Meteorite, Sapphire, Ruby, Zectium, Crystal, Fool’s Ruby, Starconium, and Demonite.

Minecraft CrazyOres Mod 1

Copper, Meteorite, Sapphire, Ruby, Zectium, Crystal, Fool’s Ruby, Starconium, and Demonite can now be found throughout your Minecraft world just like any other ore! The picture above shows all of the ores. It also shows the blocks for each type of ore above the ore itself. They can be crafted with 9 of each ore’s primary gem/shard/ingot. For Meteorite, this is Hardened Meteorite Gems. A Meteorite block that lights up can be made too with one Glowstone Dust in the center of the normal Meteorite Block recipe.

All of types of Glass and Glass Panes for every ore.

Some of the ores drop the block itself, which needs to be smelted in order to create it’s Ingot/Gem form. These include Copper, Zectium, and Starconium. Others just drop Gems, Shards, and other items like Sapphire, Ruby, Crystal, Fool’s Ruby, Meteorite, and Demonite. The item in the bottom right corner is Fool’s Ruby Mush, made when two regular Fool’s Ruby Blocks are placed in the Demonite Furnace.

  • 6. Find where it says “Add…” and click on it.
  • 7. Navigate to your zip files for where ModLoader, MC Forge Client, and CrazyOres are.
  • 8. Add ModLoader, then MC Forge Client, and then CrazyOres to your list of patches.
  • 9. Patch your game!

CONFIG FILE:

With a configuration file, you can change any block or item IDs to whatever you would like, so you can play with other mods too. The configuration file can be found in “config”. To get to this, go into “.minecraft”/”minecraft”, and you should see it. Then, go into your “config” folder, and the config file’s name is “mod_CrazyOres.cfg”. (NOTE: If you cannot find this file, you probably haven’t launched Minecraft yet. Launch it with CrazyOres installed and then see if it is there.) When opening this file, you should see many lines beginning with # at the beginning. If the file is blank, close it and delete it. Then, re-launch Minecraft to create a new config file. To use the config file, you should note that any lines with # at the beginning are comments and have no affect. Scroll down towards the bottom to find lines with no # in front of them. If there is none, you have reached the actual lines that can be changed. Simply change the number after the = to change the ID. Enjoy!
