Walking Dead mod only really has two features.  It adds a new type of zombie, called a walker, into Minecraft.  They’re pretty similar to the original zombie, seeing as they do drop rotten flesh.  They differ in three ways, though.  They look different, they attack you, chickens, and pigs… and they don’t burn in the sun.  It also adds a config file which allows you to disable spawning of all hostile monsters, which has some use to the person who doesn’t want the walkers themselves.  Goodbye creepers!  Zombies are tough enough as is, but spawning during the day seems a little scary. Or fun. It depends on who you ask, really.

How to install Walking Dead Mod for Minecraft 1.6.2:

Installing Forge mods requires Forge installed first, then just copy the mod jar files to the mods directory in your minecraft directory. NEW, My mod jars are now signed. This isn’t much use really because they use a self signed certificate. But you can verify the jars with the jarsigner tool in the java JRE. This will help you to verify that the mod jars are the original ones I packaged.

jarsigner -verify <JAR file> in the terminal or command line, where JAR file is the path and name of the mod jar to verify.
