Mo’ Foods+ is a mod dedicated towards bringing a more sophisticated, wide range of foods and food making technology. I added the “+” because it has more than just edible items, but these items are based on food. This mod adds several new foods and the list is ever growing, but it also contains at least 1 new tree, at least 1 new naturally generating block and I plan on adding several GUI capable blocks for certain engines I am designing for projects to do with the making of food. It also adds one of the simplest additions, which should be in vanilla. SHEEP DROP LAMB!.

How to install Mo’ Foods+ Mod for Minecraft 1.6.2:

For Minecraft 1.6.2/1.6.1:

Firstly you’ll need a few things:

  • The new Minecraft launcher: here
  • A copy of the Minecraft Forge 1.6.2/1.6.1 Installer
  • A copy of Mo’ Foods for 1.6.2/1.6.1 from the link above
  1. Now that you have these three requisites, firstly start up the Minecraft launcher, login and press play. Once it loads up close both the launcher and Minecraft
  2. Re-open the launcher, and now you should see the new profile and edit profile button. Now you can close it again.
  3. With the download of the Minecraft Forge 1.6.2/1.6.1 installer, right click it and go to open with and click Java Platform. When opened simply tick “install client” and press OK. It will now close and then when it’s done, a message will pop up saying it’s installed. If it takes a while for the message to pop up, just continue to step 4.
  4. Now, press the start button on your keyboard, type %appdata% and press enter.
  5. Go into the .minecraft folder in the window that just opened and then you should see a “mods” folder. If not,  see step A below.
  6. Go into the “mods” folder, and drag and drop the copy of Mo’ Foods for 1.6.2/1.6.1 into here.
  7. To run it, open up the launcher, and from the drop down in the top right, select the profile called “Forge” and then play. This is how you install mods.
For Minecraft 1.5.2 and old:
You will need:

  • A copy of Mo’Foods for 1.5.2 from the Main Download above
  • A copy of Minecraft Forge for 1.5.2
  • A fresh install of Minecraft 1.5.2
  1. First thing’s first, click on the start menu button and in the search box type %APPDATA% and press Enter
  2. Go into the .minecraft folder. Skip to step 6 if you already have Minecraft Forge installed
  3. Go into the bin folder and open the minecraft.jar in an archiver like winRAR or Winzip. If you don’t have one of these, google them and install them.
  4. Once open delete the META-INF, then open the Minecraft Forge zip like you did the minecraft.jar, and drag all the files and folders into the minecraft.jar (NOTE: This will create another META-INF folder, do not delete this one even when installing new mods)
  5. Go back to your .minecraft folder
  6. Open the mods folder, and if it doesnt exist, create a folder called mods and open it. If you want to be safe, you can run Minecraft before you install mo foods, just with minecraft forge to set it up
  7. When you have done that, drag and drop the mo’ foods zip into the mods folder and you’re done.
  8. Test it by running minecraft.
